Choose Syncfusion when…
- You are already buying the suite for grids, charts and schedulers - the editor is then effectively included.
- You qualify for the Community licence and want a free, supported component set.
- Procurement prefers one large vendor to several small ones.
Choose RichTextEditor when…
- You need an editor, not 1,600 components, and the five-developer minimum is the whole objection.

Syncfusion has a free Community licence. Why pay you $129?
If you qualify - under $1M revenue, no more than 10 employees, up to 5 developers and under $3M of external funding - their Community licence is a genuinely good deal and we will not pretend otherwise. The question is what happens when you outgrow it, because you then move to $959 per developer per year with a five-developer minimum: $4,795 a year, every year. Our $129 does not change when you raise a round or hire a sixth developer.
Is this a fair comparison? They sell a whole suite.
Only partly, and it is worth being straight about that. Syncfusion sells 1,600+ components; if you need their grid and scheduler too, the suite is a reasonable purchase and the editor comes with it. The comparison is fair when the editor is what you actually need - which is how most of our customers arrive, having priced the SDK on its own at $959 per developer per year.
